Editor Note: Eating locally can be daunting at first, but once you start it becomes a way of life. This year’s ‘Local Harvest Challenge’ gave Kyrstie an opportunity to share resources and producers around Melbourne, as well as tips and links to help you find local produce in your area.

My family has been predominantly eating local and avoiding the Supermarket for some time now. Last year we joined in a challenge called Skipping the Supermarket, this was a turning point for me as it altered the way that we eat, shop and think about food.

The opportunity to take part in this years Local Harvest Challenge was appealing to me as I thought it would be a good way to share some of the things that we have learnt to help you to find local produce in your area.
